Diagnostic Assessment - gaining a clear picture of your child's learning needs to help reduce their frustration

I use standardised diagnostic assessments to identify the specific areas your child is finding challenging. For reading, I assess phonemic awareness, phonics knowledge, and fluency. For spelling I look closely at phonics knowledge, morphology and phonemic awareness skills. In maths, I assess counting, place value, addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division.

These assessments are completed during your child's first session. Using the results, I develop a personalised and comprehensive learning plan tailored to your child's individual needs.

When your child is finding learning difficult, or has been diagnosed with a specific learning disability - such as dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia - it can feel completely overwhelming as a parent.
